He studied at the Secondary School of Design in Ljubljana and then attended the Academy of Fine Arts in the Slovenian capital under the guidance of great artists such as Metka Krašovec, Janez Bernik, Zvest Apollonio, Bogdan Borčič. His first public exhibition was in Ljubljana in 1977. She is only 19 years old. Since then he has been present in hundreds of exhibitions, awards and group exhibitions, many of which are international in nature. 

He participated and obtained important awards from the juries of the International Graphic Design Exhibitions of Ljubljana, undoubtedly the most prestigious in Europe, Barcelona, Seoul, Lodz, Villach, Cadaques. He has solo exhibitions in Ljubljana, Nova Gorica, Maribor, Kranj, Postojna, Ajdovščina, Škofja Loka, Opatija, Koper, Poreč, Piran, Umag, Sežana, Idrija, Tolmin, Vipava, Celje, Zagreb, Beograd, Murska Sobota, Novi Sad, Slovenj Gradec, Sarajevo, Klagenfurt, Leibnitz, Paris, Madrid. In Italy in Imola, Bologna, Ferrara, San Vendemiano, Venice, Trieste, Gorizia. Klavdij Tutta experiments with various techniques: oil and tempera painting on canvas and other media, watercolor, graphics on slabs, screen printing, papier-mâché and wood sculptures, ceramics, digital processing, installations, paintings and wall decorations, glass sculptures and polychrome stained glass. He is part of the International Group of Visual Art "2xGO". He has won numerous national and international awards. The most important critics from Slovenia and the countries of former Yugoslavia have written about his art.
