THE NEXT PROVINCE: A NETWORK CITY WITH MORE EFFICIENT CONNECTIONS
The new president of the Apt Caterina Belletti (together with the regional councillor Pizzimenti), very appropriately is asking the territory what are the needs of the municipalities about a fundamental sector such as public transport. An organizational revision that should, in our opinion, become one of the columns on which to base the unity of intent and operational synergies of what will be the "new province of Gorizia" after the 'ok of the Fedriga junta to the dismantling of the UTI and the restoration of the historical assets. To recompose the isontine territory based on simple and opportune reasoning: to make the former province of Gorizia a sort of unique "network-city" which, in fact, in many ways is already, providing its population, finally, a complete and economic transport service, able to replace the mobility so far mainly automotive, also to meet the needs of the many citizens - the majority. who live in the countries. New mobility starting with a continuous and punctual bus service (every half hour) between Gorizia Cormons and Gradisca d'Isonzo: transforming the service from extra-urban to urban and making at this point of Cormons (using the car park behind the hospital directly connected to the train station the starting hub for other destinations such as Udine and Cividale, as already hypothesized by the mayor Felcaro. For example, combining at least part of our province with continuous and punctual bus service (every half an hour) between Gorizia and Cormons and Gradisca d'Isonzo: transforming the service from suburban to urban and making at this point of Cormons (using the car park behind the hospital directly connected to the train station the starting hub for other destinations such as Udine and Cividale. A bus every half hour stops at San Lorenzo, Capriva, Mossa, Moraro and, on the Gradisca d'Isonzo route, also at Farra and in between stops. The cost of the ticket could be "political" and reduced to one euro and the service should last at least until midnight: but these are "technical" problems that must be solved by the managers of the APT goriziana. Politically, socially, territorially it would be a way to give an essential service to the Destra Isonzo, increasing mobility, helping mobility for the elderly and also young people, encouraging public transport also allowing travellers to drink an extra glass in the evening without the terror of the stop. Remaining in the area of Gorizia, we believe that the proposal of the mayor Ziberna to entrust to the Apt the future service of the ascent to the Castle of Gorizia, which must be inserted in a new and easy discourse of urban mobility, also at the service of tourism, is agreeable.
