HOSPITAL OF GORIZIA: ONLY CORONAVIRUS, OTHER HOSPITAL-STAYS MOVED TO MONFALCONE
From today the hospital San Giovanni di Gorizia is to all intents and purposes a hub for the intensive care of Coronavirus patients in the service of Northern Italy, Lombardy in particular. We can see this from the FB page of the journalist Vincenzo Compagnone.
As of today, in fact, the hospital ward of Cardiology of the hospital of Gorizia, including the coronary unit, has been abolished. All patients have been discharged and beds have been made available to the Intensive Care Unit (Rianimazione). "All urgencies, including surgical - and, of course, cardiological ones - will be diverted to the hospital in Monfalcone. An entire floor has been isolated: Resuscitation and Cardiology have become one (intensive care unit for COVID patients) with 16 beds and 16 ventilators. The staff has been informed that on Monday 16 patients will be transferred from Lombardy, which has no more places".
