DEVELOPMENT: TRIESTE GOOD, UDINE NOT THAT MUCH, THE PROVINCE OF GORIZIA THE WORST IN ITALY
At this point, it would be good that, not Gorizia3.0 - for God's sake: they look at it well - but the citizens of Gorizia and Isonzo receive an answer from the otherwise querulous, if not garrulous, representatives of our very poor economy: the province of Gorizia not only wins the sad laurel of the worst economy not of the FVG region, but of the whole of Italy*.
Despite a good momentum of Fincantieri, 738 companies were shut down in the Isonzo area against only 542 "births", with a decrease of 1.9%, as opposed to a regional average of -0.66%. In the same period Trieste was able to develop its own vision of the future in logistics, scientific research, tourism and marked a positive sign, not high but a significant one: +0.19 per cent.
Now, the problem concerns the whole province and not only the former capital city in the process of becoming it again, but it is clear that the economic disparity between Gorizia and Trieste is becoming far too large.
These two hubs (for those still wishing to calling Gorizia a hub), united for a few years in a Chamber of Commerce (called by Venezia-Giulia) in the perspective of a Regional Chamber of Commerce Union never realized, which in the end made only the one of Gorizia disappear: wouldn't it be the case to comment, analyze, explain these disastrous figures?
